Preheat oven to 350°
Melt butter in large iron skillet or round cake pan. Add brown sugar; spread over bottom of pan. Place whole or half slices of pineapple in circle; place cherries in center.
Beat egg yolks; add sugar and pineapple juice.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Sift in flour and baking powder. Fold into stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour over fruit.
Bake 45 to 60 minutes at 350°F.
