Welcome to “What makes me fat!”

I wanted a recipe site that didn’t have a bunch of restrictions. You know, like low fat, no fat, gluten-free, Keto and Vegan to name a few. Now don’t get me wrong there is absolutely nothing wrong with those diets and foods. But good gracious, you take away the fat, flour and sugar what’s left of the good stuff? I figured there are hundreds of sites that cater to special diets. So why not have one that doesn’t.

Now you will find recipes for every meal type, from appetizers, breakfast, main dishes and of course breads and desserts. You just won’t find any with the diet phrases like low fat and all the other stuff that to me just takes away the real flavor of the food. And for goodness sake, do not touch my bacon!

And in case you are wondering, yes, I am fat. I’m 63 years old and have been overweight since I was 10. I’ve tried all the diets, only to lose a few pounds then taper off. Finally I decided I’m just going to eat what I enjoy…good food! One thing I have learned over the years is moderation is the key. Come on, it’s just not healthy to eat the whole Chocolate Pecan Jumbo Fudge Pie!

I have also decided not to include nutritional information for recipes, who needs the added guilt? I don’t. But I will consider it if enough people ask for it.
